Every effective non-profit runs on passion. Unfortunately, passion does not pay the bills. We are a very lean organization. In 2006 we supported our efforts on a budget of about $6000. 2007 saw about $8000, 2008 saw about $9000 and 2009 has seen about $5000, so far. These amounts allow us to purchase new car seats, clean our loaner seats, handle costs related to recycling, insure and operate our vehicles, maintain our phone number, keep certifications current and print informational pieces.

This is the tip of the iceberg. If we are to grow, we will need to raise more money. We would like offer Bill a stipend, get office or warehouse space, reach deeper into the community and just do more. There is so much to do and we want to do all things car seat, so your help is vital to our success.

Making a contribution on-line is a good start. Checks or money orders can be sent to our mailing address, PO Box 4133, Boulder, CO, 80306. Please also consider becoming a Car Seat Angel. A car or truck can do a lot for us, more to follow in the next paragraph, or donate all your used car seats so we can keep them from the land fills. As a 501(c)(3), your contributions are tax deductible; please consult your tax a dvisor for details. Also look into corporate matching of contributions to local non-profit organizations.

The general topic of vehicle donations often brings to mind radio or TV ads for local public radio or TV. Though these are great ways to move a vehicle out of the drive way, there are other ways you and a local non-profit can benefit from a donated vehicle. Individual tax situations not withstanding, we are strong believers in putting drivable vehicles back on the road and not sending them to the auction, crusher or junk yard. If you have a vehicle that would like to get full value for and not the scrap value, please contact us for details. Every vehicle deserves a next life and we work with many families who need transportation.

Through the end of January 2008, Google was processing credit card contributions for free. You can now use the Google Checkout button and know that we pay nominal processing fees, so we get the benefit of your contribution quickly and efficiently. Thank you!
